Stress
Physiology
The
biological
bases
for eye
damage
in
diabetic
retinopathy
or
glaucoma
are
poorly
understood.
Present
research
is
devoted
to
understanding
how
stimuli
for
autoregulation
of
retinal
blood
flow
(among
these
changes
in
oxygen,
CO2, and
physical
activity)
alter
that
flow and
other
aspects
of
ocular
hydrodynamics
both in
health
and
disease.
Research
is done
in
collaboration
with
faculty
in
School
of
Optometry
(Bloomington)
and
Department
of
Ophthalmology
(IUPUI)
