The Evaluation Process

Competency Based Curriculum

The Evaluation Process

First year faculty are to complete their personal evaluations of all individual students by Spring Break
of year one.

A committee of course directors will meet the last week of March to discuss student evaluations
and provide a summary of progress for each student.

All students will be encouraged to schedule a meeting with the Competency Coordinator or with the
committee to discuss their evaluation.

Students having unsatisfactory progress will be required to meet with the committee to develop
a personal plan to remediate their deficiency.

Second year courses have planned functions that will enable those faculty to assess the competencies.

Second year faculty will provide their input by the end of the fall semester of the second year.

All students with deficiencies will be required to meet with the committee of course directors early
in the spring semester to develop a remediation plan.

If a locally developed plan of remediation proves to be ineffective, the appropriate competency
director will be contacted for additional input and guidance.
