Competencies Assessed in Gross Human Anatomy

Effective Communication is evaluated by

requiring 2 Web/Med-Line literature searches on topics of choice and the submission of an
annotated bibliography.     

examining one-on-one oral communication as students interact with each other and respond to
faculty questions in the laboratory.

Basic Clinical Skills are introduced by

learning to evaluate x-rays, CT scans, MRI images, etc. thereby integrating radiologic techniques
and anatomic structure.

Life-long Learning is addressed by
 
describing new imaging techniques that are in development

requiring Web and Med-Line literature searches on a topic of choice in gross anatomy and human
embryology
 
Self Awareness, Self-Care, and Personal Growth is assessed by

completing a questionnaire examining their attitude toward the donors

Professionalism and Role Recognition is evaluated by

discussing respect for donors, etc.
