not the typical pseudostratified columnar epithelium. Why?

The cells are huge with crazy
nuclei (angulated nuclear margins, hyperchromasia etc.).

Huge nucleoli.

If you use your imagination,
you might be able to spot the famous (infamous) intercellular bridges,
which are the hallmark of squamous malignancies.
