Here we see a few epithelial cells in the background and a large piece of the "honeycomb" material. The shape of the fragment suggests the appearance of the alveolar space it came from. Do you see the exudate? The cytotechnogist interpreting the slide suggested a Gomori Methanamine Silver stain to check for Pneumocystis carinii organisms. |
