Additional history:
  • Mr. Harvey worked in a local television assembly plant for 36 years. He chose early retirement when the factory relocated to Mexico.
  • Both parents are deceased. His father died of lung cancer and his mother had a stroke.
  • He has two younger sisters, both in good health.
  • He denies the use of alcohol.
  • He claims to have smoked one to two packs of cigarettes a day for almost 30 years, but quit two years ago.
  • He has had no serious illnesses and only been hospitalized twice. Once for an appendectomy at the age of 12 and then for a broken arm at age 18.
  • Until recently, he has never taken medication chronically.
  • This was his third "light-headed" episode and only seizure. He had recently raised his insulin dose because his glucometer readings were elevated.
