A number of Mr. Conrad's results are way off.
  • He's clearly anemic (hemoglobin of 8.7 with HCT of 27%).
  • The technologist saw rouleaux formation and nucleated RBCs.
  • His platelet count is OK, but the function isn't normal.
  • A number of chemistries are off.
    • Total protein is way up, but
    • His albumin is down.
    • Calcium is up
    • LDH is up, indicating cellular necrosis.
    • Alkaline phosphatase is up suggesting bone disease. (Since the bilirubin and GGTP are normal, it would seem to rule out liver as the origin.)

Better look into his high serum protein.                          Back
