Did Mrs. Talbott have "B" symptoms?
  • She was tired, anything else?
  • She was anemic.
  • So what were the "B" symptoms?
    • Weight loss (> 10% of usual weight)
    • Fever
    • Night sweats
    • Remember, "A" meant absence of these complaints.
  • People at any stage with "B" symptoms have a higher relapse rate, and therefore get chemotherapy along with radiation.
  • It's an important distinction as it determines therapy.

Even though she's anemic and lethargic, she doesn't have "B" symptoms. But there is something we need to consider.

Her period was late, what could this mean?                      Back
