Who Gets AIDS and How Is It Transmitted?

To a greater extent than ever before, AIDS in Europe and the US is contracted through intravenous drug use and heterosexual contact. This wasn't always the case and the recent epidemiologic figures reflect the changing dynamic of how HIV-1 is spread.
