The mammogram is highly suspicious.
  • Dense focal scarring could mean desmoplastic response to a malignancy.
  • The radial pattern (scar tissue streaming out from a central source), such as seen here, is highly associated with malignancy.
  • The presence of stippled calcifications within the lesion is also very worrisome.
This lesion needs to be biopsied.  
 
But first we need some preliminary lab data. Better talk to Ms. Anderson.                                         Back
