Factor VIII Deficiency
  • Hemophilia A
  • Generally severe bleeding, marked by:
    • Joint hemorrhages (hemarthroses).
    • Destruction of articular cartilage if hemarthroses are common.
    • Deep muscle hemorrhages
    • Even psychiatric related issues because of limitations imposed by the disease.
  • Sex-linked.
  • Treatable with factor concentrates.
