Mr. Harvey is a 61 year old man brought to the emergency room by ambulance.
  • He has had flu like symptoms for several days, but suddenly collapsed at home and had, what his wife described as, a seizure.
  • When the ambulance medics arrived he was groggy, disoriented and diaphoretic.
  • His wife had, with some difficulty, gotten him to take several swallows of orange juice.
  • Paramedics drew several tubes of blood and then administered dextrose per IV. He promptly woke up.
  • His blood pressure at the scene was 142/86 mmHg and his pulse was 92 and regular.
  • He complained of no chest pain.
  • Being frightened by the episode, he readily agreed to go to the emergency room for further evaluation.
Let's meet the guy and hear it from him.
