Slide 142: Malignant Lymphoma of Small Bowel

Grossly the tissue of a malignant looks like raw fish. Think about that next time you are chowing down on a plate of sushi. Microscopically, this slide just looks like the tissue has been run over by lymphocytes. There will not likely be any follicular arrangement you can see in the lymphocytic infiltrate, and the terms diffuse and follicular are applied to lymphomas observed only in lymph nodes themselves. See if you can find the classical nuclear features of malignancy, they should be easy to discern.

See this slide with the virtual microscope.
