This is an uncommon slide
as you might guess. Atherosclerosis is not often seen in the pulmonary
circulation because the lung arterial system is such a low pressure circuit.
The features of atherosclerosis are just as you would see in the systemic
arterial circulation. Mitral stenosis and left to right shunts will lead
to this condition. Sorry, this slide has not been scanned as yet for the virtual microscope. |
