Note in this picture the profound degree of chronic pyelonephritis. Again, a common observed feature seen with diabetic nephropathy. Remember, on its elemental level we are dealing with a small vessel vascular disease here. Also, you will many "burned out glomeruli," which represent glomeruli that are completed scarred and without function. |
