- The conjunctiva with
numerous goblet cells (Fig. 23-19),
- The tarsal plate and modified
sebaceous glands, aka the tarsal or Meibomian glands,
- Skeletal muscle,
- Follicles
of eyelashes, and
- The thin, folded surface skin with typical
epidermal appendages.
