Urinary Bladder

The urinary bladder has a four-layered wall similar to the ureters but with several differences. Use this virtual microscopic slide of URINARY BLADDER to identify the following:
  • Mucosa, including a surface of transitional epithelium and the immediately underlying loose connective tissue.
  • Submucosa of dense irregular connective tissue.
  • Muscularis, containing three thick layers of smooth muscle, known collectively as the detrusor muscle.
  • Either serosa (where the bladder has a peritoneal covering over areolar connective tissue) or adventitia, the areolar connective tissue joining the bladder to adjacent structures.

I don't see the virtual slide, I must need the download.
