Peripheral Nerve - Longitudinal Section

Neurolemmocytes (or Schwann cells) wrap around an axon to form a myelin sheath, and are arranged sequentially along its length.

Where adjacent neurolemmocytes cells meet, a narrow gap (neurofibral node or node of Ranvier) is seen in the myelin sheath, appearing in this PERIPHERAL NERVE - LONGITUDINAL SECTION slide as an indentation or a thin line perpendicular to the axon.

I don't see the virtual slide, I must need the download.
