The Cell: Cells are traditionally
divided into three parts, the
cytoplasm,
the
plasma membrane (or
cell membrane)
and the
nucleus.The
cytoplasm
includes everything between the plasma membrane and
the nuclear envelope. The
nucleus
is the nuclear envelope and its contents. Using the
virtual microscope and the BLOOD and SPINAL CORD slides, find
examples of these structures.
Cell Division: Mitosis is a continuous
process but has named stages. We will illustrate cells passing
through these stages by using projected slides. You should then find
examples of four stages on your
virtual microscope slide of MAMMALIAN
CELLS. |
