What can cause a localized vasculitis? In other words an inflammatory process of the blood vessels.
  • An infectious agent with specificity for the blood vessels.
  • Severe localized solar or radiation injury.
  • A reaction to a localized toxin.
  • An autoimmune condition such as is see with antigen/antibody complex disease.
  • A bacterial exotoxin, such as the toxic shock Staphylococcus toxin.
  • Rarely with heavy metal toxicity.
I'm sure you probably thought of more things, but this will be enough to get started.
