• What physical finding is consistent with Mr. Jones' recent blood loss?
• The history of melanotic stools is indicative of bleeding where in the GI tract? 
• Is there anything other than hemorrhage that might account for melenotic stools?
• The chemistry analysis shows a significant elevation of BUN, is this indicative of incipient renal failure?  If not, what's a better explanation?
• Mr. Jones' hemoglobin and hematocrit are dangerously low. Why then is the MCV, MCH and MCHC not proportionately affected?
