Summary
of Ms. Anderson's history and exam.
-
She is young, which makes a
benign lesion more likely.
-
Possible family history of breast
cancer.
-
Solitary 1-2 cm mass of her
right breast, upper outer quadrant.
-
Mass is non-tender. Suggesting
it is not inflammatory.
-
Lesion
appeared to freely movable rather than "fixed."
-
No obvious
skin changes over the lesion.
-
No nipple
discharge.
-
No axillary
masses.
Just
about the only thing we can rule out now is an abscess.
Let's
finish the history and physical.
