It is certainly possible
to see the distended and congested sinusoids and vessels of the spleen
in this picture. That's where you want to look for the deformed and
packed in RBC's.

Note the sickled RBC's
in the sinusoids. If you tighten the condenser you will see the sickled
cells nicely outlined. |
