    • Iron deficiency anemia , almost certainly unrelated to to her Hodgkin's Disease. Then what is it due to ?
    • First trimester pregnancy .
How will the pregnancy affect her Hodgkin's Disease and what about cancer therapy now?
  • Sometimes tumor growth does accelerate during a pregnancy because there is T-cell suppression in the mother to prevent rejecting the fetus.
    • This is not a significant problem with Hodgkins.
  • Radiation can safely be given with shielding of the fetus.
  • Chemotherapy is not an issue here because of her stage.

    • It would be withheld during the first trimester, but
    • Given during the second and third trimesters.
