Welcome to Medical Sciences course M470/M570

The goals of this graduate/undergraduate course are to assist the student in learning and discovering information about:

  • The evolution of human pathogenic microorganisms.
  • The emergence of herd-style human infectious diseases.
  • The analysis of historical epidemiological data.
  • The application of evolutionary genetics.
  • The special circumstances of the importation of European and African pathogens into the New World.

The course is offered through the auspices of Indiana University School of Medicine and the Medical Sciences program.
