- Works by diminshing activity of proteins C and
S, therefore the routine labs (PT and aPTT) will be normal.
- Folic acid in large quantities will drop
homocysteine to safe levels.
- Anti-Cardiolipin antibody levels:
Also known as lupus anticoagulant, this antibody causes a prolonged aPTT in
the lab, but paradoxically causes hypercoagulation in the patient.
