Dr. Valerie O'Loughlin
I believe in order for
students to learn, they must become active participants
in the classroom, and take a responsibility for their
own education. One of my goals as a teacher is to
increase student engagement in class, whether the class
has 30 students or 300. I try to make students feel
like they count, and that no matter how large the class,
I will provide them with personal attention. I want my
students to know that I care about them and I think of
them as more than just a number. When I do this,
students are more willing to trust me and seek me for
help.
