Bone marrow in chronic myelogenous leukemia.
  • Marked hypercellularity (essentially 100% myeloid cells, normal is 50% myeloid and 50% fat).
  • Increase in all three myeloid lines of marrow, but most notably granulocyte precursors.
  • This is what the bone marrow looks like during the initial, slowly progressive phase of CML.
