these categories of myeloid disorders?

Acute myelogenous leukemia,
characterized by clonal proliferation of an immature myeloid precursor
cell.

Myelodysplastic syndromes,
characterized by ineffective erythropoiesis and a variety of cytopenias.

Chronic myeloproliferative
disorders, of which chronic myelogenous leukemia is one.
-
Chronic myeloproliferative disorders
are characterized by increased production of "terminally" differentiated
myeloid cells (RBCs, WBCs, platelets, etc.).

These are disease of the "stem
cell," the basic progenitor cell of the bone marrow.

When the stem cell is sick,
everything that flows from it is sick too.

Often involve mutations in specific
