      • Systemic  (fever, malaise....)

  • General Laboratory and X-Ray findings
    • CBC: increased WBC count and specific 'shift' in cell populations.
    • Chemistries: organ specific enzyme elevations.

  • Go for the bug itself.
    • Culture
